Four Free Blog Directories for Blog Promotion

With the relaunch of the Essence Design website and the genesis of our new graphic and web design blog, we've found that promotion is now more important than ever.

The main website needs continual SEO work as way of a damage limitation exercise. After all, as far as Google are concerned we could be a brand new website using an established domain. Trust plays a major part in the ranking of websites, and a complete facelift (copy and everything) is enough to confuse a search engine into thinking that there's something afoot, and we may not be who we claim to be.

So we wait with baited breath to see what effect this will have for the immediate future and beyond, keeping the search engine optimisation of the site at the forefront of our gameplan, as well as the upkeep of this blog, so as to keep a continual stream of fresh content leaking out into the digital ether.

Speaking of which, we are currently promoting this blog through various blog directories. There's a veritable feast of directories to choose from, and the best news is, most of them are completely free. However, as with normal website directories, this has left the system open to abuse; so we do a little bit of research first, using recommendations from other websites and blogs and a presence in the Google index (to ensure the directory isn't banned) as the main criteria. Along with a couple of other elements we are then able to select which blog directories are best for us.
